Photographs of the emerging forested and rural landscapes as winter subsides. 19 photographs with fragments of spring poems written over the last decade.

Much of this body or work comes out of many immersive late winter and early spring walks throughout the landscape near where Mark lives in northern Nova Scotia. We begin in the forest, watching light on frozen vernal pools emerging from from under snow to eventually find ourselves on the edge of spring in the landscapes of the Stewiacke and St Mary’s River Valleys.
